They’re called ‘preppers’ or ‘survivalists’, and there’s a growing number of them. They’re the people who reckon they know something we don’t and are preparing themselves for doomsday. But while the average prepper is hoarding tinned goods in their back gardens, the world’s super-rich are buying up lavish bunkers in remote places to run to if disaster strikes.
The wealthiest one per cent have got their sights set on incredible properties in remote locations. Forget London and New York, when the apocalypse comes, you’re going to want to be in remote New Zealand… though whether you’ll enjoy the new neighbours is another matter.
