Posted on 26 January 2012 by Ed Corcoran

Paracord is an indispensable survival item that you has ton of uses and applications in a survival or bushcraft situation, and you can never have too much of it! This video from Intense Angler Outdoors shows how to integrate fishing tackle into a standard, cobra weave paracord survival bracelet while still maintaining the original look, feel, and functionality of the bracelet.

This survival bracelet includes standard 7 strand 550 cord, 25 feet of braided fishing line, split-shot weights, and 2 fishing hooks. They demonstrate the entire making of this "fishing bracelet" in a step by step manner so that you can make one for yourself if you so desire.

While the inner strands of paracord can be used for fishing line in an emergency, nothing beats the real thing... and the addition of hooks and sinkers could be invaluable! As an added benefit, you can utilize the braided fishing line in situations where smaller cordage is needed without sacrificing your main length of 550 cord.
